Rockville Dentist Supports Special Olympics of Maryland Montgomery County

On September 28th, the Special Olympics of Maryland Montgomery County (or SOMO as it's better know among it's members) held it's 3rd Annual Inspiration Walk/Run to support its athletes and raise awareness for the Special Olympics locally in Montgomery County. Although it's held in Rockville, MD, athletes and supporters come from all over Montgomery County every year to participate in the festivities.

Through the work of SOMO Montgomery's Local Area Director; Pam Yerg, and her crew, the event has grown every year since it's establishment in 2011. A large part of the success of the event are the relationships being forged between SOMO and their community sponsors such as the Bar Association of Montgomery County, My Eye Doctor, local Rockville dentist Dr. Maryam Seifi and many others. It's evident that the individuals and groups associated with this organization are committed and involved!

Celine Mirre, the office manager for StarBrite Dental the office of Dr. Maryam Seifi, says, "The SOMO event has become a tradition in our office. Every year more and more staff sign up for it and there's an excitement about it, most staff bring their whole family as there are a lot of activities for the kids.

We enjoy supporting the organization, and the people do a good job every year. This year we came out in force with 11 attendees and 10 runners- can't wait for next year!"
