Location

VisArts is located at 155 Gibbs St. in Rockville Town Square. It holds the prime spot near the Rockville Memorial Library and Rockville Innovation Center. The art center is easy to reach and is a stone’s throw away from the Rockville, MD station. That means it is accessible to everyone. 

History & Mission

In 1987, VisArts saw its humble beginnings as a small non-profit organization. The art center opened its doors to amateurs and professionals who didn’t have resources to gain success. The art community continues to serve this purpose 30 years after its conception.

Over the years, it grew from a 12,000-square-foot garage space to a 25,000-square-foot art studio and gallery. It is now the hub of artistic activity and development in the city. More than 30,000 artists and hobbyists visit the location each year to engage in everything that this platform offers.

The official board of directors comprises of the Artist Advisory Council (AAC). It is a mixed group of leaders that hail from education, artistic, and professional backgrounds in Maryland.
